The relatively big planing area - mainly between the binding - combined with a low scoop and a roundtail make good planing characteristics possible, inspite of the low volume of the board.
With 3 bf. (and min. a 16qm kite) you could have really fun with this board. The higher the wind conditions are the better you can make use of the low volume and the scoop rocker line of the solid 162, because then you can travel upwind very well riding the board on the edge; the board has a super grip in the water. Additional control you will get with the flex of the board; in high speed conditions the board is flexing and resulting in a bigger rocker, which will make "top speed" possible. It is not made for beginners; you should have some kite experience, before riding this board.
Speciality about the Herex-core = highend material, with the following advantages:
-No water is coming in, means damages are not ending in a board where the core will be full of water.
-Easy lamination with glaslayers, so that a stabil sandwich could be build.
-More pressure stabil than the most other foam cores.
